Finding us

Hafod Gwenllian is situated approximately a quarter of a mile from the main A470 and about 15 minutes waking distance from the secluded Roman Bridge railway station. You can put your starting point into the Google Maps window below and get directions for your entire journey.

 

Approaching from Blaenau Ffestiniog
  1. Decend from the slate quarry along the A470
  2. After about a mile you will see pine woods on your right
  3. Keep an eye out for a right hand turn at the foot of the hill with a public phone box just off the road
  4. Climb the single track road and pull into the car park at the top, you have arrived

 

Approaching from Dolwyddelan
  1. Pass through Dolwyddelan along the A470
  2. Look for pine woods on your left up ahead, you will also see the road ahead gets steeper as it start the ascent to Blaenau Ffestiniog.
  3. Take the left hand turn at the foot of the ascent, it has a public phone box just off the road to the left
  4. Climb the single track road and pull into the car park at the top, you have arrived
