Based in the beautiful and dramatic Snowdonia National Park, Hafod Gwenllian has a flexible, all-year round, range of accommodation to suit groups from 5 to 40.
We can offer en-suite, self-catering for 5 and also a variety of rooms that can accommodate up to 6, 8, or 12 guests.
In addition to central heating, there is a large self-catering kitchen, male and female shower blocks, drying room, conference/cafeteria area, secure cycle store, barbeque area and free parking.
We also welcome small families and individual groups/parties. Any catering would be supplied locally, with local produce, and can be arranged by us prior to your visit.
Formerly known as the Royal Artillery Adventure Training Centre, Hafod Gwenllian is based in a small secluded valley with views of Dolwyddelan Castle and Moel Siabod. The stream that runs alongside feeds our chlorine-free water supply and runs into the Lledr River which is available for salmon and sea trout fishing. In the Village there is a very well stocked local Spar shop, a pub/restaurant and a local bar/restaurant Hotel.
Just outside Dolwyddelan, in view of the Castle, there are many local walks from the less challenging, to more difficult, all within easy reach of the front door of the Bunkhouse itself.

We can provide all the facilities that Snowdonia can offer from the most modest activities to the most testing ie: mining, salmon and sea trout fishing, canoeing & kayaking, cycling, climbing, walking, abseiling, rope walking, gorge walking, mountain training, and many others.
We hope that our warm and friendly atmosphere will make your visit to Hafod Gwenllian a most enjoyable and memorable experience.
